This blog is for investors who, faced with over-information, only want pertinent facts and independent, truly unbiased and often contrarian thinking in order to manage their investments, being fully cognizant of both risk and reward.
Our daily NEW$ & VIEW$ provide investors with a continuous flow of pertinent news and views on the most important trends in economy and finance with a clear purpose to measure potential returns against risk as it should always be.
New$ To Use publishes economic and financial news, info, views, research and ideas that are material and practical to investors, pruning out from the smorgasborg of available news and views those that are not conducive to educated investment action.
Please make sure you read this disclaimer: This blog contains facts, views and opinions posted essentially for my own personal needs. In effect, all the work behind this blog is to serve my own investment needs for pertinent facts, clear and objective views and appropriate risk assessment. Apart from what I personally make out of this blog, it is not professional advice in any way, shape or form and should not be construed that way. In other words, buyers beware, especially since I provide no assurance or guarantee of “up-time” and reliability, even though I work very hard toward such goals.
I have been involved in the Financial sector since 1975. Now retired, I am a part-time blogger. From 2006 to 2008, I was Equity Manager for a hedge fund organization. Between 2002 and 2006 I was chairman of the equity investment committee of a large pension and mutual fund investment organization.
My career began in 1975 as a financial analyst for a brokerage company where I also served as head of research from 1979-1984. From 1984-1987, I was in charge of all equity investments at a major pension fund. From 1987 to 1992, I headed the North American equity investment portfolio of a pension fund. During the following 10 years, I ran various equity funds for major investment consultants.
I started blogging in January 2009 to share info and views with friends and organize and archive pertinent information.
